Our Peruvian chocolate bar is made in Lima, Peru by Shattel. Lisi Montoya and her team make delicious chocolate from beans from different areas of the Peruvian Amazon area. Chocolate that wins prizes. Many prizes.
Lisi buys the beans directly from the farmers and gives them a fair price for the hard work they do for harvesting, fermenting and drying their best cocoa beans. According to Lisi, they win many prizes because the beans are good: “Good chocolate is born in the field.”
The cocoa beans from the various regions of the Amazon region of Peru are therefore known worldwide for their aroma and taste quality. Because of this Shattle chocolate won five golden medals (for best world wide chocolate) during the Intrnational Choclate Awards in 2018.
